Description:
Pen ak Zaboka (Bread and Avocado) is a warm tribute to the essence of Haitian mornings — simple, familiar, and full of quiet dignity. The enamel coffee pot and cup, rendered in soft blue hues, evoke the rhythm of daily life, while the fresh avocado and bread symbolize sustenance and community.

Ghesilhom’s composition honors the beauty in the ordinary — the shared meal, the first light of dawn, the stillness before the day begins. Through meticulous detail and a serene palette, Pen ak Zaboka becomes more than a still life; it is a meditation on gratitude, routine, and the enduring poetry of everyday existence.
